DRIVESAFE NT
DriveSafe NT is a government-sponsored Driver Education and Licensing Program accessible to all Northern Territory residents aged 16 and above. We cater to learners in Darwin, Katherine, Nhulunbuy, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, and remote locations, providing comprehensive services to meet the diverse needs of our community. Additionally, we recognize the minimum 6-month learner licence requirement in the Northern Territory, ensuring a thorough and well-paced learning experience for all our students.
The Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory (MCNT) is the premier advocate and service provider for individuals, families, and communities from refugee and migrant backgrounds in the Northern Territory of Australia. Since 2010, their Passport to Drive initiative has been offering free education and training, including both theory and practical supervised driving experience, to eligible visa holders. This program aids participants in obtaining their Australian learner's permit and/or driver's license, with heavily discounted practical driving lessons provided by accredited instructors. Funded by the Australian Government's Department of Home Affairs, Passport to Drive is an invaluable resource for those seeking to navigate the road to driving success.
